Animal Science/Care College Class Trips

Wild Encounters Mini Zoo is the perfect place to bring your Animal Care/Zoology/Wildlife Biology/Veterinary or other animal science based class trip! As part of the package we offer an interactive and hands on workshop alongside one of our keepers where you can learn about and handle a range of our friendlier animals and ask our experienced and knowledgeable keeper team any questions you may have. With a good variety of animals for students to get a close look at, ranging from birds, small mammals, reptiles and bugs we can cover a variety of topics to suit your needs from general animal care/handling, to adaptiations, biodiversity and more! You'll have completely private access to the Mini Zoo during your trip with us so alongside the workshop you can watch our meerkats get fed their breakfast and learn all about parrots in the two other keeper talks included in the package. You're also free to explore the rest of the Mini Zoo, meeting our friendly donkeys, pigs and goats down on the farm area, watching the mischievious monkeys leaping around their habitat and checking out the reptiles and bugs in our reptile house. For our size, there's a great variety of animals here for those working towards an animal career to learn about!
