We’re just a small animal facility outside Newcastle West in County Limerick trying to make a difference in the world by bringing people closer and more aware of the wonders of the natural world around them! We bring education and fun together for old and young alike!
Please note, we are not open to the public on a general admissions basis (yet!) but you can still come to us by booking one of our private animal experiences. We also operate a mobile animal education programme visitiing schools, nursing homes, parties and other events around the munster area.
All money from our outreach programme and experiences goes towards the care of the animals that call Wild Encounters their home, many of which are animals rehomed to us from the exotic pet trade. We thank you in advance for your interest and support in what we do!
COVID-19 UPDATE
Due to government announcements on restricted movement and closures of non essential organisations with the ongoing covid-19 situation, Wild Encounters is unfortunately shut and not taking private bookings for the period until 19th April. This will be reviewed again after this date or in line with any further government announcements. If you would still like to support us in caring for the animals during this tough time, please consider sponsoring an animal or purchasing an open dated voucher for one of our experiences that can be used after we have all beaten covid-19!
